Comment on Supreme Court grants Special Pension to ex-Naval Sailors by mavelisivaramanghosh.

I have been enrolled as a Radio Operator (Tel) wef 21 April 1975 and released on 30 April 1985 as RO 1(Tel). During 10 Years period, i was posted even at Andaman Nicobar Island (INS Kardip)for one year. After retirement i have not been received any benefits from Navy other than small amount paid as S/DCR gratuity. It is understood from reliable source those who joined before 03 July 1976 and left after 10 years or more service but less than 15 years are entitled for special pension. In this regard Hon. Supreme Court passed judgment on 14-08-2017 with CONMT.PET.(C No. 913/2017) In C.A. No. 2147/2011 Order passed that review petition submitted by Mr. Maninder Singh that has been dismissed and order passed by the Hon. Supreme Court in civil appeal no. 2147 of 2011 will be complied with within two weeks hence the contempt petitions sand closed. As per the above order i am also entitled for special pension. In this regard an application had been sent to the CABS Mankhurd. trombay, Mumbai through courier service. Unfortunately i am also awaiting for favorable reply from Navy as other sailors those who are awaiting for the benefits at the last stage of their life. In my case 62 years age completed and since last two years became Neuro patient with three clots duo to paralysis stroke and going prolonged treatment. Even my wife is also suffering from heart and other disease. So as other sailors i am also expecting special pension may be granted before going to grave. God may bless all the needy poor sailors.
